Base characteristics
Golden Village
Taoyuan, Longtan, Sanhe Village gathers community strength, combines pottery art and Hakka culture and promotes eco-friendly habitat. The result was awarded the bronze medal of the Golden Village by the government.
Less is More
It is not easy for Sanhe Village to farm in the mountainous terrain. In the past, the residents used to grow tea and rice to survive. Due to the fall of the tea industry and industrial development, the old rural areas had experienced a large loss of agricultural population. In recent years, the residents have bravely refused to develop civilizations, and have implemented the Less is More policy of cement reduction, street lamp reduction, and development reduction.
“A pack of cement is useless”, so that the community residents can understand deeply, the old houses and old trees that have grown for 60 years. The old man and the old barge are the treasures of the community. Taiwan Taoyuan Longtan Sanhe Community is the first in Taiwan to pass the environmental education field community, restore the stream life, cultural rejuvenation and innovation, and sustainable home.

Rural Education Park
Taoyuan Sanhe Community is the first rural environmental education park in Taiwan. Several tea gardens can be seen on the community trails. There are many camellia blooms in the orderly tea gardens.
Rich Ecology
The ecology along the Sanhe community is very rich. Tung trees bloom in April and May every year. Here you can see the longest Climbing Fern in the world, which can reach 21 meters long.
Mountainous Terrain
In the middle of the Sanhe Ancient Road, there is a section of wooden plank road known as the “Jurassic Forest”, enjoying the cool breeze between the surrounding green forests.
